摘要 The present invention aims to provide silicon-containing particles used in a negative electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery, which have high capacity compared to graphite when used in the negative electrode active material for the nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery, have excellent cycle characteristics, and are usable as particles for the nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery. The silicon-containing particles of the present invention are the silicon-containing particles used in the negative electrode active material for the nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery, wherein the silicon-containing particles have surfaces which are at least partially coated with a heat-cured thermosetting resin. The thermosetting resin has a thickness of 5 nm to 500 nm. The silicon particles have a crystalline particle size of 1 to 300 nm.
