<p>A hair cleaning composition comprising components (A), (B), and (D), wherein the content of a component (C) is suppressed to 0% to 0.05% by mass, and the pH value of the hair cleaning composition is from 2.5 to 5.0;
(A): polyglycerin, in which with regard to the ratio among a total mass (p) of triglycerin and tetraglycerin, a mass (q) of diglycerin, and a total mass (r) of pentaglycerin and higher order oligomers, q/p is less than 0.5 and r/p is less than 0.5;
(B): aromatic alcohol;
(C): cationic surfactant; and
