The invention relates to a method for determining a modifiable element in a coded bit-stream (C o ). The method comprises a step of decoding (E200) a part of the coded bit-stream (C o ); a step of modifying (E201) said part of the coded bit-stream (C o ); a step of decoding (E202) the modified part of the coded bit-stream (C m ); a step of verifying (E203) whether the modified part of the coded bit-stream (C m ) is compliant with the coded bit-stream (C o ); a step of verifying (E203) whether an element (EI m ) in the decoded modified bit-stream, called modifiable element, is different from an element (EI) in the decoded original bit-stream. The invention also relates to a device for determining a modifiable element in a coded bit-stream.
