A method and corresponding device for generating an image comprising obtaining a first image that is comprised of a first area made up of a plurality of images having different field of views of a real-life scene and captured from a location above the real-life scene that have been stitched together to form a panoramic view of the real-life scene, 2610, and a second area (such as fill area) which is not made up of the plurality of images, 2630C. A second image, 2620, is then generated which is a segment or cut-out of the first image and a determination is made as to whether the second image includes only the first area or whether it includes both the first area and the second area. If the second image includes both the first area and at least part of the second area then a border is applied to the second image that extends along its upper and lower boundaries. These borders are applied above the upper boundary and below the lower boundary. |
