The present invention relates to an expansion valve and, more specifically, to an expansion valve with two orifices (a first and a second orifice) to respectively distribute and supply a refrigerant to two evaporation part, which are divided from an evaporator, after expanding the refrigerant, wherein the expansion valve comprises: a first and a second valve installed separately, and controlling the opening degrees of the first and the second orifices; and a connection unit installed between the first and the second valves, and displacing the second valve depending on the displacement of the first valve. Therefore, under a low load (a low cooling load) condition, the second orifice can be closed to minimize power consumption and improve fuel efficiency through the minimization of the flow rate of the refrigerant, and under a high load (a high cooling load) condition, the flow rate of the refrigerant is distributed to the first and the second orifices, so the flow rate of the refrigerant can be optimally distributed according to the respective load conditions, thereby maximizing the improvement of the fuel efficiency and obtaining an optimal cooling performance and cooling efficiency. |
