Provided are a location determination method and apparatus for efficient processing of actual positioning data. According to the location determination method and apparatus for efficient processing of actual positioning data provided herein, the method comprises requesting a location of a user based on signal strength data collected from an access point (AP) around the user; if there is not a previously stored signal property in a database of a location information provider, organizing the data as a set and storing the set in the database of the location information provider to calculate the location of the user, and, if there is the previously stored signal property in the database of the location information provider, determining whether the request is the first positioning or not to calculate the location of the user; if it is not the first positioning as a determination result, predicting a moving trend of the location of the user, requesting for the data stored in the database of the location information provider, and storing the requested data in a database of a user terminal to calculate the location of the user; and, if it is the first positioning as the determination result, calculating the location of the user using a triangulation method, and, if it is not the first positioning, calculating the location of the user using a fingerprinting method. |
