<p>An applicator device for applying a coating to an arcuate surface (106 figure 1), the device comprising a roller cover 10 having a rolling contact surface, wherein the rolling contact surface 12 is arcuate along the length of the roller cover such that the rolling contact surface substantially complements the arcuate surface to be coated. The roller surface may concave or convex. The thickness of a resilient roller cover may vary along the length of the roller. The roller ends 20, 22 may be moveable towards and away from each other so as to vary the degree of arcuateness of the roller. Also claimed is a method of using such an applicator. The applicator is particularly suitable for applying paint to coving (100 figure 1).</p> |
