An air filter unit 20 for attachment to an external wall of an electronic equipment enclosure, the air filter unit comprises an inlet 21 at a base of the unit; a filter 23 lined with bristles located in a passageway that extends from the inlet to an outlet 28, and a heat exchanger 24 disposed above the filter and between the filter and the outlet. The air inlet may be a grille. The heat exchanger may be an evaporator of an air conditioning system and comprises of a plurality of fins. The evaporator may be directly above the filter allowing condensation forming on the evaporator to fall onto and through the filter thereby cleaning it. A centrifugal fan may be located between the outlet and the evaporator for drawing air through the unit. |
