Electrically insulative tubing layer for power cable

The cable (10) has an electrically insulating casing layer formed of electric insulation (2) and electrically insulating outer sheath (3) surrounding electric conductors (1) i.e. mass or multi-strand conductors. The layer is obtained from a composition comprising a thermoplastic polymer and a hydro-carbonated resin. The resin has a softening point between 70 degree Celsius and 140 degree Celsius, and 5-carbon or 9-carbon alkyl chain. The composition includes a fireproof charge and a wax i.e. fatty acid amide, to facilitate casing extrusion of composition.
