<p>Disclosed is a gantry-structure positioning device including two parallel linear guides (FX1, FX2) where linear drives are integrally formed for respective X carriages (LX1, LX2) to be held to be movable in an X direction; and a crossbeam (FY) that is connected to the two X carriages (LX1, LX2) and holds a Y carriage (LY) to be movable in a Y direction, which is perpendicular to the X direction, by using the integrally formed linear drives. The positioning device also includes a tool holder (1) that is guided by the Y carriage (LY) in a Z direction and carries a tool (2) which is used to process a work piece arranged on an X-Y plane, the tool (2) being arranged in parallel to the crossbeam (FY) in a state of being offset in the X direction. A power frame (3) that is arranged on the tool (2) in the Z direction transmits a working force (F) acting on the tool (2) to the carriages (LX1, LX2) without any torque-based deformation of the crossbeam (FY).</p> |
