The present invention relates to a technology of providing a shop customer (a customer on a visit to a shop or a latent customer around a shop) with shop-associated information (for example, an advertisement, an event, or a menu) through a high-frequency sound reproduced and output from an IP setup box installed in a shop. More particularly, the present invention relates to a technology of providing shop-associated information based on a high-frequency sound signal, which is realized in a method of, if shop-associated information is encoded in the form of a high-frequency sound, and is coupled to and distributed in an overhead (for example, a header field, a descriptor, or a connection data packet) in a data stream of multimedia contents, classifying and recognizing an overhead coupled to the multimedia contents to mix the high-frequency sound with a general sound of multimedia contents and output the mixed sound through a speaker when a shop manager apparatus (for example, a POS terminal) installed in an individual shop receives and reproduces a data stream of the multimedia contents through a content reproduction module (for example, a television, an IP setup box, a digital radio set, a computer, or a tablet PC), and if a dedicated application mounted to a smart terminal of a customer recognizes a high-frequency sound, restoring the recognized sound to shop-associated information (an advertisement, an event, or a menu) and identifying the shop-associated information to display the identified shop-associated information to a user. |
