<p>A gripping device 1 individually grips a first workpiece 10 and a second workpiece 20. The shape of the second workpiece is different from the shape of the first workpiece. The gripping device is provided with a main gripper 2 capableof gripping the first workpiece and a sub-gripper 30 capable of gripping the second workpiece. The sub-gripper has an outer shape that corresponds to the first workpiece and is grasped by the main gripper. A preferred use for the device is the conveying of oil trays, with differing shapes, on a production line. The main gripper may be adjustable along a rail 5 so that the grippers 2A and 2B can adjust to the length of the first workpiece or the sub-gripper. The sub-gripper may have an elastic member 32 allowing the frame to be adjustable along its length to account for the differing length of the second workpiece.</p> |
