[Class 120 (ii)] In a ring spinning machine having catch rollers disposed below the feed cylinder to catch broken ends, the rollers 10 deliver the ends to a trough 11 disposed below them and divided by a raised floor 17 into an upper and a lower compartment, an endless conveyer in the trough having its top run 20 in the upper compartment 18 of the trough and its bottom run 21 in the lower compartment 19. Both floors 17, 24 of the trough may be dished so that the conveyer rests thereon at its edges only and the front wall 14 may be hinged to facilitate cleaning the trough. Resilient wipers 25 may rest on the top run of the conveyer to be rolled into bundles and delivered to a shoot 26 leading to a receptacle 28.
