Provided are a glass plate cutting device and a glass plate cutting method, wherein a glass plate is cut so that a substrate is produced, and the obtained substrate can be effectively carried out to a carrying out place. The glass pate cutting method comprises: glass plate receiving work in which a glass plate (M) on which scribe lines (Lx and Ly) are formed is received to a receiving position on a belt conveyor (20a); cutting work which cuts the received glass plate (M) by applying pressure along the scribe lines on the glass plate (M); and carrying out work in which the cut glass plate (S) is carried out to a carrying out place. The cutting work comprises the steps of: moving a pressurizing member (30) along the scribe lines in order to be cut; and moving the pressurizing member (30) to a next position after the cutting is finished. While the pressurizing member is moved, cut glass plate (S) carrying out work can be simultaneously performed. |
