According to one aspect of the present invention, a component mounting apparatus includes a Y directional beam which is extended in a Y direction, an X directional beam which is extended in an X direction and moves in the Y direction by the Y directional beam, and a component support unit which supports the component. In the component mounting apparatus, the X directional beam includes a beam body which is extended in the X direction and a support member which movably supports the component support head in the X direction. The beam body is composed of a cylinder or a prism made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic materials which is obtained by pulling a core after a carbon fiber reinforced plastic sheet is wound on the surface of the core with the same cross sectional shape in a longitudinal direction. The support member includes metal materials and is attached or bonded to the beam body by a mechanical connection. |
