The present invention relates to a mold clamping device of an injection molding machine and an injection molding method using the same and, more specifically, to a mold clamping device of an injection molding machine to which a center press method to maintain balance of a force is applied. The mold clamping device of the injection molding machine includes: a center plate on which a center mold is disposed; a pair of movable plate spaced apart from the center plate and disposed on each of both sides of the center plate; a tie bar passing through each of the movable plate and the center plate; and a movable mold disposed on the movable plate. The center plate is constituted by two parallel blocks, and a mold mounting plate mounting the center mold is disposed between the two blocks. The blocks and the mold mounting plate are rotatably shaft-coupled to each other using a shaft, and the center mold is disposed on each of both surfaces of the mold mounting plate. Support bars are disposed on a surface opposite to the movable mold of each of the movable plates, and a booster cylinder is disposed on one of the movable plates. A through-hole through which the support bars pass is defined in each of the fixated plates. The present invention uses the center press method wherein molds are disposed with the center plate therebetween to balance a clamping force transmitted by the support bars due to a hydraulic pressure of the booster cylinder. Thus, when the clamping force is applied, mold plate uniformity may be improved, and quality of stability of the molded product may be doubled. |
