The panel 1 comprises woven low carbon steel wires 2, 4 with different components incorporated in the panel to provide enhanced resistance to cutting. The added component may comprise a fixed rod or a non fixed rod or cable which can rotate or spin. The added material may be high tensile steel, high carbon steel, a surface carburized wire, glass, or a relatively soft material which may forma coating of the low carbon steel wires. Also claimed is a panel of this type comprising welded low carbon steel wire and a panel 1 comprising a vertical array 2 and a horizontal array 4 of wires wherein each wire of at least one array is provided with a wire helix 8 wound through the panel. In use, the panel increases the time needed to breach a fence panel to provide a hole large enough to allow access. |
