1. Apparatus for treating a subject, the apparatus comprising:
an external device, configured for placement outside of the subject, the external device comprising:
a detector, configured to detect a factor associated with a state of the subject; anda control unit, couplable to the detector, and configured to automatically generate a signal; and an implant, comprising:
an antenna, configured to be placed in an artery of the subject and to receive the signal;an effector element, comprising at least one electrode, and being couplable to an arterial site of the subject; anda driver unit, coupled to the antenna, and configured to drive the electrode to stimulate an electrode implantation site of the subject, by driving a current into the electrode implantation site, at least in part responsively to the signal,wherein the control unit is configured to detect a level of impedance of the antenna, and to modulate the signal at least partially in response to the level of impedance of the antenna and the detected factor. |
