a transceiver for performing direct wireless radio communication, the transceiver being operable in a first mode for broadcasting data, and a second mode for waiting to receive such broadcasted data; and a cycling circuit cooperating with the transceiver for alternately repeating the first and second modes, at least one of the first and second modes being performable for a randomized length of time, wherein the randomized length of time is determined by the device itself.
