The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing benzene using waste generated from an aromatic carboxylic acid process, and more specifically, a method for manufacturing benzene comprising: a process of gaining benzene by using waste from an aromatic carboxylic acid process; and a purification process of separating benzene gained from the process and water, removing an inorganic metal ion, and gaining benzene of high purity. According to the present invention, by reacting waste emitted from the aromatic carboxylic acid process with an alkali earth metal oxide at high temperature, benzene of high purity can be manufactured. Also, an alkali earth metal carbonate emitted from the process can be commercialized. |
