A brake control apparatus of the present invention includes: a master cylinder which generates a braking force on the vehicle depending on a depressed amount of the brake pedal; an electric motor to move the master cylinder; a control substrate to control the electric motor; and a substrate containing portion to be disposed along the periphery of the master cylinder, wherein the substrate containing portion is mounted with the control substrate to dispose a component mounting surface of the control substrate towards an axial direction of the master cylinder.
