The device has a guide unit (14) for focusing and guiding a laser beam (12) emitted by a pulsed laser beam source (10) e.g. femtosecond laser, onto an eye (16). A computer-assisted controller (18) controls the guide unit such that foci of the guided laser beam are guided on a predetermined path on or in the eye, where spacings of the neighboring foci vary for the most part. The path is linewise and the spacings of the neighboring foci in a row vary stochastically. The path is columnar and the spacings of the neighboring foci in a column vary stochastically. An independent claim is also included for a computer program for controlling a material-processing device. |
