PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing plastic lenses capable of enhancing production efficiency by controlling a temperature of a molding die favorably according to a lens form without deteriorating molding accuracy when efficiently mass-producing plastic lenses on an industrial scale using a molding die having a part of a molding surface formed in a glass substrate.SOLUTION: When molding a minus-shaped plastic lens, the temperature of a molding die 50 is controlled so as to satisfy the relation Tmi=Tm=Ts>Tsi, and when molding a plus-shaped plastic lens, the temperature of the molding die 50 is controlled so as to satisfy the relation Tmi<Tm=Ts=Tsi, where Tm is a set temperature of the surrounding of an insert molding die 11 provided on a movable die 1, Tmi is a set temperature of the insert molding die 11 provided on the movable die 1, Ts is a set temperature of the surrounding of an insert molding die 12 provided on a stationary die 2, and Tsi is a set temperature of the insert molding die 12 provided on the stationary die 2. |
