A power line communication apparatus, a control apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to transmit/receive data by controlling the phase of an AC power supply based on the zero crossing point of the AC power supply during power line communication. A power line communication apparatus comprises a transmitter(10) and a receiver(20). Data, inputted by controlling the phase of an AC power supply based on the zero crossing point of the AC power flowing in a power line(5) of the transmitter, is transmitted through the power line. The receiver senses changes in the phase of the AC power supply based on the zero crossing point, and then receives/outputs the data. The transmitter comprises the followings: the first zero-crossing detection unit(12) for detecting the zero crossing point; a phase controller(14) for controlling the output of the AC power supply to control the phase; and a transmission controller(16) for controlling the phase controller according to the data inputted based on the zero crossing spot detected through the first zero-crossing detection unit, to transmit data. |
