PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, as a fiber favorably usable as a cushion material, a fiber unaccompanied by problems during a fiber manufacturing process and capable of obtaining a nonwoven fabric at a low cost.SOLUTION: The provided polyester-based composite short fiber is a polyester-based composite short fiber having a core-sheath transverse cross-sectional shape wherein the core component thereof consists of a non-elastic polyester, wherein the sheath component thereof consists of a copolymerized polyester ether having a melting point of 100 to 150°C and constituted by a block copolymer including 0.01-5 wt.% of a crystal nucleator and constituted by polyhexamethylene terephthalate constituting a hard segment and polytetramethylene glycol constituting a soft segment, and wherein the content of the polytetramethylene glycol included within the copolymerized polyester ether is 10-40 wt.%. |
