PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network management system, network management device, server, network management method, and program capable of appropriately installing a monitoring agent and implementing high availability in performing network monitoring using an apparatus on a network.SOLUTION: A network management device 30 identifies the number of paths from each node 10 to respective servers 20; selects two or more candidates having granted priority to be made to function as a monitoring agent of the node, from the servers 20 on the basis of the identified number of paths; and notifies a server selected as the candidate of a node 10 as a monitoring destination and its priority in the node 10. The server 20 selected as the candidate confirms the server's priority in the node 10 as the monitoring destination of the server, when communication with another server 20 functioning as a monitoring agent becomes disabled; and makes the node 10 be a monitoring destination of the server when the server's priority is next to that of the other server. |
