The application means changes the on voltage from the first voltage to second voltage in at least one subfield among the plurality of subfields, and in the second voltage, a potential difference with reference potential in the pixels is smaller than that of the first voltage, and gradation of the pixels in the frames when the on voltage is changed to the second voltage in at least one subfield is in the same range as that of the gradation of the pixels in the frames when the on voltage remains as the first voltage in at least the one subfield.</p>
