<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently preventing the damage of a cleaning blade caused by an excessive frictional force.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: an image carrier; an image forming part forming a toner image on the image carrier; a transfer part transferring the toner image to a paper from the image carrier; a cleaning blade coming into contact with the image carrier, to remove transfer residual toner remaining on the image carrier after transfer; a toner storage part temporarily storing the toner removed by the cleaning blade and supplying it to a contact part between the cleaning blade and the image carrier; and a control part allowing the image forming part to form a toner image for toner supply determined according to a toner storage amount for each main scan position in the toner storage part and allowing this toner image to reach the cleaning blade in such a state that this toner image is un-transferred, to supply the toner to the toner storage part.</p> |
