PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser excitation solid-state laser device radiating pulse laser light over all the range of ambient temperatures of 20 to 80°C.SOLUTION: In order to realize an apparatus for igniting fuel supplied to an engine with pulse laser light 14 radiated from a solid-state laser medium 10 excited by semiconductor laser light 7 radiated from a semiconductor laser light source, it is necessary to radiate the pulse laser light 14 over all the range of 20 to 80°C. In a present semiconductor laser excitation solid-state laser device, an operation temperature range is insufficient. Then, yttrium aluminum garnet containing neodymium is selected as the solid-state laser medium 10, and a semiconductor laser light source is selected which includes an array element 1 in which vertical resonator face light-emitting laser elements with multilayer films formed at both sides of active layers are arrayed in a two-dimensional manner is provided, the oscillation center wavelength at 20°C of which is 804.0 to 805.5 nm and the temperature dependency of the oscillation center wavelength of which is 0.07 nm/°C or less. |
