<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the displacement of a main pump to suppress an output loss of an engine without the need for such a pressure sensor as to be disposed most downstream of a plurality of direction control valves.SOLUTION: A pump control device for a construction machine, which is provided on a hydraulic shovel having an engine 11, a first main pump 12, a regulator 14, and operation devices 20-22, performs flow control to allow the operation of the regulator 14 with positive control to give a maximum operation amount out of the operation amounts of the operation devices 20-22 to the regulator 14, as a first pilot pressure signal, computes maximum operation torque using a first torque function setting part 26b of a controller 26, on the basis of the maximum operation amount of the operation devices 20-22, outputs a control signal corresponding to the maximum operation torque from an output processing part 26d to a solenoid valve 36, and performs horsepower control to allow the operation of the regulator 14 using a second pilot pressure signal supplied via the solenoid valve 36.</p> |
