<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for obtaining, on an occasion for separating and recovering, from an effluent including metallic silicon and a coolant including water-soluble hydrocarbons without using a flocculant, a solid component including the metallic silicon as a main component and a liquid component including the coolant as a main component, a dehydrated cake including the solid component and excellent in terms of handling friendliness.SOLUTION: The provided method for manufacturing a dehydrated cake comprises: a solid-liquid separation a step of filtering an effluent including at least metallic silicon and a coolant including water-soluble hydrocarbons so as to separate the effluent into a dehydrated cake including a solid component including the metallic silicon as a main component and a filtered liquid including a liquid component including the coolant as a main component; and a washing step of washing the dehydrated cake so as to preclude the contents of the water-soluble hydrocarbons included within the dehydrated cake from reaching 3 wt.% or above.</p> |
