PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of smoothing means that smooths a voltage obtained by rectifying an AC voltage when a device is in a low power consumption state.SOLUTION: A power-supply device includes: a switch element 5 connected in series to an electrolytic capacitor 3; a capacitor 4 connected in parallel to the electrolytic capacitor 3 and the switch element 5 that are serially connected, and having a smaller capacitance than the electrolytic capacitor 3; and an operation unit 7 placing the switch element 5 into a conduction state when a device is in an operating state, and placing the switch element 5 into a non-conduction state when the device is in a low power consumption state. |
