摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of an assembling work by making positions of cam grooves and cam bearings of cam plates opposed to each other, be easily found in assembling the cam plates of a thrust converting mechanism.SOLUTION: A mechanical disc brake includes a piston 10 assembled in a cylinder hole 2 of a caliper body 1, and a thrust converting mechanism 9 disposed at a bottom portion 11 side of the cylinder hole 2 with respect to the piston 10. The thrust converting mechanism 9 presses the piston 10, and includes a fixed-side cam plate 18 disposed on the bottom portion 11, a cam shaft 13, a driving-side cam plate 14 disposed on the cam shaft 13, ramp grooves 25 formed on the driving-side cam plate 14 and the fixed-side cam plate 18, and cam bearings 26 accommodated in the ramp grooves 25. The odd-numbers equal to or more than 3, of the ramp grooves 25 are formed on the fixed-side cam plate 18 and the driving-side cam plate 14, the cam bearing 26 disposed on one of the ramp grooves 25, is disposed on a straight line in the radial direction of a disc rotor 5, connecting a shaft center of the cylinder hole 2 and a shaft center of the disc rotor 5 in non-operation.
