PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion battery manufacturing method capable of maintaining electrode quality while reducing manufacturing costs, and a lithium ion battery manufacturing apparatus.SOLUTION: An electrode material paste 18 containing an active material, a binder, and a first solvent comprising a first component is applied on the surface of an electrode foil 1, and then a second solvent comprising a second component different from the first component is supplied as a high pressure heating steam in a dilution solidification unit 38 of a solidification device 25 to dilute the first solvent, by which the electrode material paste 18 is solidified. Furthermore, in a solvent replacement unit 39 of the solidification device 25, a third solvent comprising a third component different from the first component is supplied to cause the first solvent remaining in the solidified electrode material paste 18 to be removed by the third solvent, and the solvent included in the solidified electrode material paste 18 is made the second solvent. |
