PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting device which requires no complicated manual operation for engagement and disengagement between a water treatment instrument and a lifting implement.SOLUTION: A lifting device 4 which allows for engagement and disengagement with a water treatment instrument 3 to be lifted includes a frame 42, and a hanged engaging part 44 with an upper part rotatably supported and fixed on the frame 42, engageable with an engaged part 32 disposed at the water treatment instrument 3. When the lifting device 4 is moved closer to the water treatment instrument 3 from above, the engaging part 44 comes in contact with the engaged part 32 so as to be rotated. When the lifting device 4 is moved further closer, the engaging part 44 is rotated in the return direction toward the hanging state. A first operation state which allows for the engagement between the engaging part 44 and the engaged part 32 can be thereby set.
