PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method for a printer capable of suppressing occurrence of a white stripe arising from ink discharge failure regardless of a paper type of a printing paper and suppressing occurrence of a color stripe due to a correction.SOLUTION: A printer 3 expresses a harmony of a printing image formed on a printing paper by discharging three kinds of ink drops having a different dot size from an ink nozzle 43 to the printing paper carried. When a failure ink nozzle 43(F) with ink discharge failure is detected, the printer 3 sets an actual printing dot size of ink drops actually discharged from adjacent ink nozzles 43(R), 43(L) at the time of printing on the basis of a kind of the printing paper, the failure dot size of the ink drop to be discharged from the failure ink nozzle 43(F), and adjacent dot sizes of the ink drops to be discharged from the adjacent ink nozzles 43(R), 43(L) adjacent to the failure ink nozzle 43(F) in the paper width direction B crossing to a carrying direction A of the printing paper. |
