PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal tube optical fiber cable capable of preventing an optical fiber core wire from being exposed to excessive stress even when a metal tube is filled with an excessive amount of a filler material, and of obtaining a highly accurate measurement value when used as a sensor for measuring a physical quantity of a strain distribution.SOLUTION: A metal tube optical fiber cable 1 comprises an optical fiber core wire 3 and a filler material 4 accommodated together inside a metal tube 2. The filler material 4 solidifies to integrate the optical fiber core wire 3 and the metal tube 2 together. A buffer material 5, having a lower modulus of elasticity than the filler material 4, is provided either between the filler material 4 and an inner peripheral surface of the metal tube 2 or between the filler material 4 and the optical fiber core wire 3. |
