PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film resistant, even on an occasion for heating and transporting a thin polyester film having a thickness of 100 μm or less, to wrinkling along the transporting direction; and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The provided polyester film has a thickness of 100 μm or less in a state where the maximal value X [%/m], per unit distance along the film width direction, of the thermal shrinkage variation magnitude x [%/m] along a direction orthogonal to the film width direction and the maximal value Y [%/m] of the absolute value of the variation ratio y of the x value per unit distance satisfy the following formulae (I) and (II): 0.01<X<2.00 (I); and 0.1<Y<20.0 (II). |
