PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ejector type refrigeration cycle device and a control method therefor capable of stably operating an evaporator so as to be able to stably, continuously, and reliably supply cold water generated by the ejector type refrigeration cycle device.SOLUTION: A pressure sensor 11 and a temperature sensor 12 are provided on a refrigerant output of an evaporator 3, a saturation temperature is calculated on the basis of saturation temperature data registered in a control device 10 in advance so that a detected pressure by the pressure sensor 11 corresponds to the saturation temperature data, and a difference between the saturation temperature and a detected temperature of refrigerant by the temperature sensor 12 is calculated. This difference corresponds to an overheat degree. This overheat degree is compared with a preset set value, and the control device 10 transmits a drive signal to an actuator 6a in response to the difference to adjust an opening of an expansion valve 6.
