PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor that has good temporal stability of a coating liquid for charge transport layer formation, good productivity, excellent electrical characteristics including repetitive characteristics in normal temperature and normal humidity and in high temperature and high humidity, and an effect of suppression of filming.SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes at least a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer in this order on a conductive support, in which the charge transport layer is a single layer and an outermost surface layer. The charge transport layer contains at least a charge transport material, a binder resin, and silica particles having an average primary particle diameter of 0.2 to 1 μm; the silica particles account for 3 to 30 wt.% of the entire charge transport layer; and a hole mobility of the charge transport layer is 2.0×10cm/V s or more at an electric field intensity of 2.0×10V/cm and a temperature of 21°C.
