The present invention relates to an engine test apparatus including an engine test device connected to an engine to test the rpm of the engine and other engine functions; an engine support cart for supporting the engine to be tested on an upper portion of a body; a coupling shaft for coupling the engine supported on the engine support cart to the engine test device; and a protection box installed on the engine test device by a connection bracket to protect the coupling shaft. Therefore, the engine supported on the engine support cart can be easily coupled to the engine test device, and even if the coupling shaft is broken in the engine test process, various safety accidents can be prevented.
