PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cylindrical shafts 10 and 30 for hanging sheets, preventing easy falling of the sheets such as a tapestry fitted thereto and being applicable to a plurality of types of sheets with different widths.SOLUTION: A first locking part 19 is locked to a second locking part 22 to bring a longitudinal opening end face 15d of a first long frame 15 into pressure contact with a longitudinal opening end face 16d of a second long frame 16, thereby forming a cylindrical body 11. The entire length of an upper edge part of a tapestry 14 can be firmly clamped between the longitudinal opening end face 15d of the first long frame 15 and the longitudinal opening end face 16d of the second long frame 16 that is brought into pressure contact with the opening end face 15d. Consequently, the tapestry 14 can be prevented from being fallen from the cylindrical body 11. Further, two cylindrical bodies 11 are connected to each other by a joint piece 31 into one cylindrical body 11 so as to change the length of the cylindrical shaft according to the tapestry to be fitted thereto.
