PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech recognition device and a speech recognition program that can perform speech recognition processing in a handsfree state.SOLUTION: Speech data on a speech input to a microphone is acquired (S11). Image data on an image picked up by a camera provided on a head-mounted display is acquired (S12). Pattern information as information representing a predetermined pattern is compared with the image data so as to determine whether the image based upon the image data includes a pattern based upon the pattern information (S15). When it is determined that the pattern is included (S15: YES), an execution display indicating that speech recognition processing is executed is made (S16). Further, the speech recognition processing on a speech based upon speech data is performed and text data corresponding to the speech is generated (S24). Processing is performed based upon the generated text (S26).
