PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a metallic decorative material having a high degree of freedom in shape design, enabling a woodgrain pattern with natural texture to be formed at low cost; and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A metallic decorative material 1 includes a metal plate 2 having on a surface thereof a woodgrain pattern with irregularities transferred from natural wood material, an anchor layer 3 attached to the rear face thereof, and a base material 4 composed of a synthetic resin and integrally formed through the anchor layer 3 on the rear side of the metal plate 2. The metallic decorative material 1 is manufactured by setting the metal plate 2 in a mold M with the surface side and the rear side being superimposed with a sliced veneer 5 and the anchor layer 3, injecting a synthetic resin into the mold M for transferring the woodgrain irregularities of the sliced veneer 5 to the surface of the metal plate 2, integrally forming the base material 4 through the anchor layer 3 on the rear side of the metal plate 2, and detaching the sliced veneer 5 from the metal plate 2. |
