PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the temperature of a low-temperature portion among a temperature distribution in a transformer and in the circumferential direction of a selective oxidation apparatus and to control the temperature of the transformer and the selective oxidation apparatus to be in a suitable temperature range in order to stably lower CO concentration.SOLUTION: A hydrogen generator 1 includes a transformation temperature detector 21 for detecting the temperature of a transformation catalyst 14 packed in the vertical direction of a low-temperature chamber equipped with a hydrodesulfurization temperature detector 19 or inside or outside in the radiation direction from the vertical direction. The hydrogen generator 1 also includes a controller 25 for stopping its operation or altering a heating rate of a second heater on the basis of the transformation temperature detector 21. |
