PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image inspection device and an image inspection method, with which it is possible to favorably read a print image on a print medium.SOLUTION: At an inspection part 21, a suction table 41 is provided with a suction port 45b for causing continuous paper WP to be suctioned by a suction surface 45a contacting a non-inspection surface of the continuous paper WP, and suctions the non-inspection surface of the continuous paper WP. With this construction, the continuous paper WP is arranged at a predetermined position at which the continuous paper WP is capable of being read by a CIS sensor 65 without contacting the CIS sensor 65 that is ordinarily used in contact with a reading target. Also, the CIS sensor 65 is moved by a movement mechanism 63 so that a distance between a reading surface 65a of the CIS sensor 65 and the suction surface 45a of the suction table 45 becomes a first distance G1 set in advance. As a result, it is possible to favorably read a print image of an inspection surface of the continuous paper WP suctioned by the suction surface 45a by means of the CIS sensor 65. |
