PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector with a shutter which can effectively prevent dirt from entering inside.SOLUTION: A plug 1 and a receptacle 2 are provided with optical contacts 3, 23 and shutter plates 14, 34 which face the optical contacts 3, 23 and are opened/closed by movement in a rotation direction, respectively, and when the plug and the receptacle are connected to each other, the shutter plates are interlocked with each other. At least one of the plug and the receptacle is provided with: movable members 12, 32 which are pressed by the other and move when connected; elastic members 6, 26 normally energizing the movable members to the other; and a cam mechanism which makes the shutter plates be moved following the movement of the movable members. The movable members are provided with projections fitted in openings of the shutter plates. |
