PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve genetic information in an encrypted state.SOLUTION: An encryption device 200 generates an encrypted gene by encrypting a target gene that is genetic information to be stored in a storage device, generates differential information by comparing a reference gene that is predetermined genetic information with the target gene and generates an encrypted tag which is encrypted by embedding the generated differential information therein. A data center 400 stores the encrypted gene and the encrypted tag in the storage device while associating them with each other. A retrieval device 300 generates a retrieval query which is encrypted by embedding the differential information therein with the differential information as a retrieval keyword and transmits the generated retrieval query to the data center 400. The data center 400 identifies the encrypted tag including the differential information designated by the retrieval query, extracts the associated encrypted gene and transmits it to the retrieval device 300.
