PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel a password with respect to an electronic file which is protected by the password, among collected electronic files.SOLUTION: In a document management system, one or more electronic files recorded in a plurality of computers or a server are collected and the collected electronic files are analyzed regarding relevancy with a legal action. The document management system comprises: a file-with-password extraction section for extracting a file with a password which is an electronic file protected by the password, from the collected electronic files; a password cancel section for inputting a candidate word to the file with the password while using a dictionary file registered with one or more candidate words which become candidates of the password; and a result receiving section for receiving a result of determining the relevancy with a legal action performed by a user with respect to the password canceled file that is an electronic file of which the protection is canceled by the password cancel section.
