A three-phase alternating motor magnetic wedge failure diagnosing system, a method thereof, and a medium which records a computer readable program for executing the method are disclosed. To achieve the purpose, the three-phase alternating motor magnetic wedge failure diagnosing system in accordance to the present invention comprises: an alternating magnetic field generating unit, an input current measuring unit, and a magnetic wedge failure diagnosing unit. The alternating magnetic field generating unit generates an alternating field of a plurality of directions to penetrate the plate which is perpendicular to a rotor rotary shaft of a three-phase alternating motor. The input current measuring unit measures a plurality of input currents corresponding to the plurality of directions in which the alternating magnetic field is generated by measuring a current inputted into the three-phase alternating motor whenever the alternating magnetic field of each direction to form the plurality of direction is generated. The magnetic wedge failure diagnosing unit diagnoses a magnetic wedge that fails if a maximum value of a reactance value of the three-phase alternating motor obtained using the input currents and the voltage inputted to the three-phase alternating motor is lower than or equal to a predetermined first standard value, and at least a part of the reactance value is lower than the first standard value. According to the above composition, accurate diagnosis regarding a magnetic wedge failure of the three-phase alternating motor with ease, inexpensively, and high frequency can be executed without the execution of the process stop and the decomposition of the motor.
